Class Description
Berimbau is a dynamic and creative class that combines traditional Brazilian rhythms like Samba, Batucada, Axé, and Capoeira, as well as fusion rhythms like Funk Carioca and Samba-Reggae. The music and dance movements reflect their strong African roots while at the same time adopting Caribbean and Amazonian styles. The class will begin with a breakdown of the fundamental steps and will transition into more complex combinations. Berimbau is designed for all levels of expertise.
Instructor: Andreina Botero Delgado
Andreina Botero Delgado is from Venezuela. She has a Masters in Science from Universidad del Zulia (LUZ). In addition to teaching Berimbau, Andreina has a certificate in Zumba instruction. She hopes her class will make people dance and relieve stress!
