“Biboti weaves magic with his African dance, drums, and words. Biboti and his dance troupe first performed for students at Onondaga Hill Middle School in 2005 during our African American Read-In celebration. His passion for dance, drumming, and story telling enthralled all of our 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Students raved about the performance and continued to talk about Biboti all the rest of the year, so we had no doubt this year about who we wanted to perform for us —Biboti . His 2006 performance was again spellbinding. Biboti involves students by teaching them African dance steps and some African words, and they love it when he asks for volunteers to come up and play his African drums. They are in awe at the seemingly humanly impossible speed of his feet during his dances, and the power of his drumming. A particular favorite of students is his mask dance. Biboti’s passion for dance, drum, music, and West African culture shines through and exhilarates the audience. His performance is eye-opening, educational, and unforgettable.” – Grace Zabel, English Teacher, Onondaga Hill Middle School
